The Flood A new theory: agriculture and handy craft spreading in Europe has began after "The Flood" – a sudden rising of Mediterranean and Black seas level. About 8000 years ago a sudden thawing of a huge ice sheet has started in Northern America, which has lead to the rising of ocean level on 1.4 meters. This has inchoated the Bosphorus origin uniting Black and Mediterranean seas, which in total have flooded about 73 thousand square km during 34 years. Probably exactly these events affected the present in majority of religions myth about the Flood. Flooding of such territories has led to the migration of about 145 thousand people that have brought to hunters and gatherers living further to the North the agriculture and pottery.
